Ownership

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

I Corinthians 6:20

Shiloh Baptist Church teaches the Biblical principle of ownership which involves recognizing that all that we have or will have ultimately belongs to God.

This means that God has entrusted us with resources and responsibilities to be stewards of His glory. As stewards, we yield our personal rights and expectations to Christ as we manage, maintain, and multiply what He has entrusted us with.

As Creator, God owns all that is in the world, including its people (Psalm 24:1). Christ’s ownership of creation is emphasized in that by Him and for Him are all things created and by Him all things consist (Colossians 1:16–17).

Saved by His Grace

In Christ, we are not saved by what we do and don't do but by faith in what God has done through Christ. We belong to God not because of the works we do for Him, but our faith in the work He has done for us by His grace (Ephesians 2:8)

Salvation is a three-fold progressive work in Christ that involves Justification, Sanctification, and Glorification.

Glorification

Sanctification

Through Justification, God saves us from the Penalty of Sin (Past). When God Justifies us, it is "just as if we had not sinned!"

Through Sanctification, God is saving us from the Practice of Sin (Present). When God Sanctifies us, we are set aside for His use.

Through Glorification, God will one day save us from the Presence of Sin (Future). When God Glorifies us, we will one day be like Him for we shall see Him as He is!
