Staff Writers
Staff writers are responsible for writing the School of Discipleship and Training Institute curriculum for Shiloh’s Senior, Young Adult, Adult, and Senior Adult Classes. The Staff writing team is assigned Biblical passages and collectively writes the curricula to coincide with the pastoral vision and church thematic emphasis. Staff meetings are held on a regular basis.

New Members Orientation
This class is designed to introduce new members to the history of Shiloh Baptist Church and the basics of salvation by faith. Topics discussed include salvation, water baptism, stewardship, and the meaning and importance of church membership. After completion, new members are presented before the Shiloh congregation to receive certificates and the right hand of fellowship.

Baptism Training
This class is designed to introduce baptism candidates to the meaning of water Baptism and how baptism impacts their walk with Christ. Topics discussed include the meaning of water baptism, the method of water baptism, the mandate for water baptism, and the mission of water baptism. Candidates are baptized and presented before the Shiloh congregation to receive certificates and the right hand of fellowship.

Primary – Ages 3-5
This class is designed to introduce children ages 3-5 to the Bible and Jesus Christ while teaching them the basics of salvation. Preliminary Bible knowledge is taught along with the classic stories of the Bible in an effort to introduce children to Bible reading.

Juniors – Ages 6-9
This class is designed to teach children ages 6-9 how to read and understand the Bible and come to know Jesus Christ as the Son of God. An effort is made to build on the teaching foundation laid in the earlier curriculum. Further preliminary Bible knowledge is taught along with the classic stories of the Bible in an effort to help children read and begin to understand the Bible.

Intermediate – Ages 10-13
This class is designed to teach youth ages 10-13 how to read and understand the Bible and come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. An effort is made to build on the teaching foundation laid in the earlier curriculum. Basic Bible knowledge for youth is taught along with how to apply Biblical stories to their everyday lives.

Teens – Ages 14-18
This class is designed to teach youth ages 14-18 how to read, understand, and apply the Bible to their daily lives and know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. An effort is made to build on the teaching foundation laid in the earlier curriculum. Advanced Bible knowledge for teen youth is taught in a way that helps them apply the truths of the Bible to their everyday lives.

Young Adult – Ages 19-35
This class is designed to teach young adults ages 19-40 how to read, understand, and apply the Bible to their daily lives and serve Christ as Lord and Savior. An effort is made to build on the teaching foundation laid in the earlier curriculum. Preliminary, basic, and advanced Bible knowledge for young adults are taught in a way that helps them apply the Word of God to their everyday lives.

Adult – Ages 36-60
This class is designed to teach adults ages 36-60 how to read, understand, and apply the Bible to their daily lives and walk with Christ as Lord and Savior. An effort is made to build on the teaching foundation laid in the earlier curriculum. Preliminary, basic, and advanced Bible knowledge for adults are taught in a way that helps them apply the Word of God to their everyday lives and situations.

Senior Adult – Ages 61 and up
This class is designed to teach senior adults ages 61 and up how to read, understand, apply, and appreciate the Bible as they live for Christ as Lord and Savior. An effort is made to build on the teaching foundation laid in the earlier curriculum. Preliminary, basic, and advanced Bible knowledge for senior adults are taught in a way that helps them apply the Word of God to their everyday lives
